The closest I got to this was as a kid at the shore when I split my big toe on an oyster shell. There were no adults around so I washed out the split, pushed the meat back inside and sewed it up with black thread. My parents never noticed until it had healed and I was pulling the thread out of my toe. When they saw they freaked out; I thought I had done something wrong.
Remarkable.
